We are together.

When families encounter tragedy, we support them, with love. The Christina Grimmie Foundation exists to support families who have lost a loved one to gun violence.

In short about us.

We love what we do.

The Foundation provides tangible services to help families encountering this area of hardship, so that they may focus their energy on healing, rather than finances or household duties.

Who we are

On June 10th, 2016, 22-year-old singer and songwriter Christina Grimmie was shot and killed after performing at her concert in Orlando, Florida. Her family received a huge outpouring of support from Christina’s friends, extended family and fans. This support was a huge part of their healing and, frankly, survival. As a result, her father, mother, and brother founded the Christina Grimmie Foundation to help other families who may not have received the kind of support that they did. The Christina Grimmie Foundation was launched in 2017 to give financial assistance directly to families and individuals who experience the tragedy of gun violence. The first grant was given in November 2017, and as of June 2024, the Foundation has helped over 200 families with grants totaling over $480,000.

The Christina Grimmie Foundation operates in partnership with victim service organizations throughout the US. CGF remains committed to supporting families of gun violence victims so that they can focus on rebuilding their lives. Our goal is to honor the victims and support their families by offering financial and emotional support. The Foundation fosters a support community and works directly with the families to provide a genuine pathway to hope.
